ANNUAL FOUNDERS’ SCHOLARSHIP

Hudson River Heritage’s Founders’ Scholarship in the amount of $1,000 will be awarded to an eligible student who shows an interest in the study of history and related fields of architectural examination and preservation. This scholarship is part of the educational component of this organization. Hudson River Heritage is a nonprofit membership organization committed to preserving the unique character of the Mid-Hudson Valley’s historic architecture, rural landscapes and scenic views through education, advocacy and community involvement. Hudson River Heritage is the federally designated steward of the Hudson River National Historic Landmark District, a 32-square-mile area stretching from Clermont to Hyde Park, New York.

Applicants must be college-bound high school seniors from the Landmark District’s school districts of Germantown, Hyde Park, Red Hook and Rhinebeck, who show an interest in the history of the area and have demonstrated this interest through participation in related activities.

The winner will be announced on May 15, 2017. Applications for the scholarship are available below, or at your school’s guidance office, and are due on May 1, 2017.
